COVID-19 Update

We are happy to announce that our clinic is now be open for routine care. We have been working hard throughout the shutdown to implement new policies and adapting out clinic to ensure a clean and safe environment. As we work to reschedule appointments that were canceled your patience and support are appreciated.

The following are some changes that you may notice on your next visit:

Our clinic and staff

  • We have implemented new cleaning protocols that include
    • Medical grade cleaning solution on all surfaces and equipment
    • 10 – 15 minute breaks between patients to allow for proper disinfection
    • Staff are required to wash or sanitize their hands between every patient
  • Our staff will be screened daily for COVID-19 symptoms
  • Our staff will always be wearing masks in addition to face shields and/or safety glasses
  • Our staff have access to all required personal protective equipment
  • We have eliminated our front waiting area to maintain physical distancing
  • We have installed plexiglass barriers on exam room equipment
  • More hand sanitizer dispensers have been made available throughout the clinic in addition to our two sinks in our patient care rooms

Our Patients

  • We are currently not accepting walk-ins, all patients must have a scheduled exam
  • We ask that only the patient present for their exam, no guests or other family members are permitted to accompany you to your exam
    • Exceptions will be made for 1 guest in the following cases:
      • Minor patient under 18 years old
      • Patient does not speak English and required a translator
      • Patient requires a caregiver
  • We ask that patients complete the required registration forms and COVID-19 screening questions and submit them electronically to us prior to your exam
  • We may ask you to wait outside the store until we can ensure proper social distancing in the clinic
  • We will take your temperature
  • We will ask you to wash your hands upon entering the clinic
  • Please arrive with your own mask that covers your nose and mouth
    • All patients over 2 years of age are required to wear a mask in the clinic
  • Retinal imaging for all patients which allows for a comprehensive assessment of ocular health while minimizing time required to be in close contact in the exam room (this service is NOT covered by OHIP)
  • Use contactless payment methods (credit, debit or e-transfer) when possible

Cancellation Policy

Please note that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you do not attend your appointment or cancel with fewer than 24-hours notice, you will be charged a fee of $60 for the missed appointment which will be billed directly to you via our online payment system. This “No-Show” fee is NOT reimbursable by your insurance company.
